TOUR DESCRIPTION
The guests will be picked up from the hotel and we will start from Chersonissos around 9.00 am. Directly when we leave Chersonissos we drive on the normal road to Sissi. There is our first stop at a very professional olive oil factory, surrounded by a nature park (herbs, animals, old olive oil factory parts). Our guests have a guided tour and they can buy a coffee or soft drink and toilets are available.
The rest of the journey is to and through the Dikti mountains. The chance to see the real inland of Crete!
After some off-road driving along small villages and through overwhelming green nature, we reach a beautiful very old and small village. This village has an astonishing beautiful view over a “green all” of trees and plants.
Here Georgos, a local farmer, welcomes us and invites us to see his herds (goats, cheaps and even Kri Kris). He gives our guests a 'lesson' how to milk. In his very picturesque tavern, he demonstrates the traditional way to make cheese and our guests can taste his delicious, fresh cheese. The guests will walk around this historical village and will regret to drive further on and leave this village. So, we will stay there for lunch! Georgos will prepare the lunch, with local and fresh ingredients, typical mezes. The lunch is included water, extra drinks have to be ordered by the guest.
After lunch and on the way back we continue off road along the new dam. A our last stop, we visit a donkey farm, also with other animals'
Back to the hotel, arrival time 16.00 - 18.00 hour. (Depending on the size of the group and weather conditions)
